TRIBUTE BY FIDITI GRAMMAR SCHOOL OLD STUDENTS ( FIGOS) 1964/68 SET IN HONOUR OF A GEM DR. DENNIS OLUSEGUN GEORGE (03/08/1950- 19/05/2020) The period of time we spent together started from January 1964, when we came in as Form 1 students of Fiditi Grammar School - then Fiditi Grammar School for boys with bias for Science. Segun George was one of a group of young, adventurous teenage boys who had great expectation in life. Before long, many of us could spot Segun George as an amiable, sociable and one that made friends easily. We all grew up physically, morally and mentally as we journeyed through secondary school. In academics, Segun was a brilliant and a diligent student, always ready to share ideas and knowledge. He was forward -looking and in healthy academic competition with his mates. Segun's humility, kind nature, selflessness endeared him to all, and these attributes could be seen later in life in his dealings with others and in his professional practice. Segun came out in flying colors in the WASCE in 1968, and this enabled him get a place in the Medical School of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where he completed his studies with Excellent results in 1976. All that came in contact with Dr. Olusegun George in his private life and in his medical practice will bear witness to his character of diligence, humility, patience and compassion for all. He had a way of putting smiles on his patients faces. In addition to all these, he was humorous, never a dull moment in whatever gathering he found himself. Segun had a commendable medical practice for 44 years - a practice with visible passion and compassion. Segun left his mark among his classmates, in his family, his profession, in the church, his community and among all that came in contact with him in the past 70 years. Above all, Segun George was close to God. You are registered in our hearts, Segun. We will all miss you. GOOD NIGHT AND SLEEP WELL TILL THE RESURRECTION MORNING. FIGOS 1964/1968 SET.
