A RARE GEM IS GONE

TRIBUTE TO DR. OLUSEGUN GEORGE

I came in close contact with Dr. George at All Saints Anglican Church, Yaba. We used to work together at the Medical Clinic which usually holds then every Monday and I always assist him in dispensing drugs to the patients he attends to.

He was a great philanthropist, a doctor with a great heart, lover of the old and young children, poor and rich…’Oko awon arugbo [ husband of the elderly}.

Every patient would want only Dr George to attend to them, he served sacrificially closing at late as 8pm most days and he still had to drive a long distance home.

He took time with each patient: to listen, examine and really get to know each one. He read voraciously, kept up to date on everything and would even refer parents to come to his own hospital for further treatment for FREE.

He was indeed a RARE GEM in the class of doctors, never off duty even at a function, he would attend to you and give you prescriptions. My children all love and appreciate him as he had impacted and helped each one, took deliveries of their children and was very fond of my last “OPE’ who God had used him to save from dying over 20years ago due to food poisoning  with no other hospital to take us in that very night but his hospital. {Mo ti nri Dr. mi o ri iru ti Dr Segun George ri o}

He will never be forgotten by those who were fortunate enough to have known him!

GOODNIGHT AND SLEEP ON … WE ALL LOVE YOU. ….
