When my mum was sick she kept talking about one Dr. George, so we decided to take her to Jaiyeola Hospital. Dr. George decided we stay over till the next day. The next day, she went into diabetes coma. We were worried but Dr. George assured us. Seeing how young we were struggling to take care of our mum, he gave us a moderate bill and kept reassuring us. A month later mama was fine... Four years later, I was pregnant, I just had to come and see Dr. George from Abeokuta. I remember him writing out a long list of dos and don'ts. He was a father, he told me all will be well and told me how he loved to take delivery of his children. Weeks later I started having challenges but he kept reassuring me. My husband and I will come from Ogun state just to listen to Dr. George. Although we lost the pregnancy, he assured us. Today we have a son and one of his names is Segun. The news of the death was traumatic for us but you left a mark dad, you were not just a Doctor but a father. I remember the note you left me after a minor surgery at the hospital. This is a huge loss but we are rest assured that your legacy will live on. Daddy continue to rest in the Lord's bossom as you have fought a good fight.
