TRIBUTE TO DR OLUSEGUN GEORGE. The passing to glory of Dr Olusegun George was a rude shock to us. He was a complete gentleman, full of love for God and humanity. Everyone who knew him held him in high esteem.. Our first contact with him was on 31st October 1997 at the traditional wedding of his beloved niece, Remi, who got married to our nephew, Yomi Olomodosi, on 1st November 1997. The bride’s mother, having asked for permission to speak, spent several minutes thanking and showering encomiums on Dr George, her brother, for nurturing and caring for her daughter till her wedding day. Since that day, he became our loving, humble, cheerful, respectful and respectable in law. We had cause to visit his Jaiyeola Hospital twice on his invitation and we marveled at his meticulous, effective, empathetic, and exemplary best practices as a physician. He was one in a million!! He was one of the best doctors in Nigeria and probably the cheapest!!! He even offered free services to the disadvantaged patients!! He was a member of the STARTEAM which we belonged to and through the organic supplements, was able to stabilize some of his patients’ condition, and practically free of charge! When we learnt of his admission at the Isolation Center, with other members of his family, we, EChapel Women’s Fellowship swung into fervent prayers for their healing. We happily raised our prayer of thanksgiving to God when the younger ones and Mama were discharged. We were so sure Dr George would go home within days. Our expectation was, however, short-lived. “O death! Where is thy sting? O grave, Where is thy victory?..... But thanks be to God, which giveth us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 15: 56-57.(KJV). May the precious soul of Dr Olusegun George rest at the bosom of His Creator. May Almighty God comfort his aged mother, his immediate and extended family and all of us. Amen . The Euler-Ajayis
